THE當代音樂學院 Academy of Contemporary Music (The) 我來點評

I chose to study at ACM after attending an open day, with my father, in 2005. I was impressed not only by the facilities, but also how friendly the tutors and other students were. I knew, even though I was still in my last year of high school in Latvia, that I wanted to be an ACM student.

In 2006 I auditioned and was accepted to the Higher Diploma course, a challenging programme where I study many different styles of music, many of which were new to me. Since joining ACM, I have had opportunities to audition for bands, showcase my songs to industry professionals and am now recording a new demo. Song writing is my great passion and, through tutorials, I have really improved my music. I am now hoping to stay at ACM to study on the degree course.

ACM and the British Council were very helpful with guidance on moving to, and studying in the UK, giving funding and accommodation advice. To any future student, I would say that Guildford is a great place – you will find a safe and welcoming environment to study in and as it’s easy to access Gatwick airport for holidays when I go home to visit my family.
